Cell Phone Project

This is my final image for my cell phone assignment. Exposure= ISO-200, Shutter Speed-1/15, F/Stop-5.6.

For the assignment we had to have a reflective background and colored light. I used two, I had a blue and yellow. Set up 750 light with the blue gel on it and then moved it a little at a time until I got it in the middle of the background where I wanted it. The 750 with the yellow gel on it, on the left side is for a little extra light shining across the front of the phone.

Tiny Pie

Shutter Speed- 125, F/Stop-16, and Iso -200. Same setup as above just moved camera angle.

Working on Metal

I am working on getting this image the way I want it. I need to get light along the top of the box lid and work more on my shadows. This is what I have so far, I like my setup, and will be adding the updated pics soon.

Halloween at City Lake

These photos were taken at a halloween event at City Lake in Albemarle, N.C. with a Canon 40 D outside during different times of the day with the assistance of a 285 vivtar flash. They were the winners of the two and under Costume Contest.

Anomaly Portrait

This is her left side of her face twice, then her normal photo without anything done to it, and then the right side of her face twice.

This is hiding that one eye is bigger than the other.

This image is meant to show the bigger eye as it is without covering it up.

This is my setup. All photos shot with a Canon 40 D, in studio, with the speedtron which powered our main light and our fill.

Ideas for H2O project

For this shot, I had a 750 shining in from the left side across the bottom of the jar. I put a Mini underneath the table and shined it straight up to under the jar. I put small drops of red, green, orange/yellow food coloring into the water. I had the camera close and down at the bottom of jar. My exposure- ISO= 200, Shutter Speed= 1/30, F/Stop= 5.6.

I tried to get a little creative with this one. I had the camera low on the side, looking up at the glass. I cut open a glow stick and poured it into the bottom of the glass. Then I put soap from the bathroom on top, added a little water, then dropped red food coloring in it. If your wondering why soap, it helped to keep the water from running down to the glow stick. I kind of like what I came up with. My Exposure- ISO= 200, Shutter Speed= 2 sec, F/Stop= 5.

I think as together this was my favorite. I got up above and shot into the glass. It created a bright green line around the outside of the glass, because of the glow stick. My Exposure- ISO= 200. Shutter Speed= 1/6, F/stop= 5.

This is my setup with the lights on. The jar is the same place as it was for the shot above. The glass is also in the same place, but I turned the Mini off underneath the table when shooting those.

Ideas for Chocolate

Exposure- ISO 125 Shutter Speed 1/8 sec, F/Stop 8. We were assigned a chocolate assignment, so these are some shots I did to practice and get some ideas. I used a 750 on the right side with a purple gel and a softbox on the light, hooked up to the speedotron. I think I like the first one the best, but these are just for practice so far.

Partner Session #2 with Jason

3/4 shot of Jason with 35 mm lens. Exposure- ISO 200, Shutter Speed 125, F/Stop 13. Shot in studio using the Speedotron and two lights, one for main and one for fill.

Full length shot of Jason shot with the 50mm in studio. Had the same setup didn't move anything, but the camera. Exposure- ISO 200, Shutter Speed 125, F/Stop 13.

Head and Shoulders shot of Jason done with 100 mm lens and again left everything the same except for the camera, it moved. Exposure- ISO 200, Shutter Speed 125, F/Stop 13.

Dixie

I shot these images of my friend Dixie for practice balancing my off camera flash with sunlight better. The images with the gray background were shot outside, using sunlight and my Vivitar 285. The images shot with hay as the background were actually shot inside an 18 wheeler. While shooting we came across the 18 wheeler full of hay and no one around seemed to mind us being in it, so we set up inside. The two doors at the end were open, so there was a mixture of sunlight and my flash. I moved the flash around several different times for each shot to get it how I wanted. It was a lot of fun, even though we ended up covered in hay.

Pharmaceutical Drugs

This project was on Pharmaceutical Drugs, we had to make two images one showing the good useful side of the drug, and then one showing the bad, harmful side of the drug. This shot was the good/useful reason for headache medicine, shot in the studio with a Canon 40D. I had a 750 on right side with gel on it and one on the left side lowered and skimming across the surface that the drugs are on. ISO= 125, Shutter Speed= 1/6 sec, F/Stop= 5.6.

This shot is of the bad/harmful effects of headache medicine. Shot in studio with a Canon 40D, using one 750 on the left side with the barn doors closed, all but about one inch. Then I used another 750 on the right side with a red and a blue gel over it to add the colors in the background. This shot shows how people abuse medicine, but crushing it up and snorting it. ISO= 125, Shutter Speed= 1/8 sec, F/Stop= 5.6.

Self Portrait

Self Portrait shot for Digital Imaging Pho 241. Shot with a Canon 40D in the studio. ISO= 200, Shutter Speed= 1/5, F/Stop= 5.6
